Saw him play guitar and Paul Cook drums with Iggy and the Stooges with support from The Ramones at the Reading Festival way back when. Their version of Search And Destroy has got to be up there with the greatest Punk songs ever.

I remember thinking it was about as close as you could get to seeing The Sex Pistols (too young to catch them in '77)- even after seeing PIL at the Hammersmith Palais a little while before that supported (I think) by The Jesus And Mary Chain.

I remember my beautiful girlfriend Billy falling asleep on the back of my GXR750 on the way home to London and nearly falling off the back. I caught her legs under my arms as she fell backwards.

Quite how you fall asleep on a sportsbike with a pillion seat the size of a cigarette packet and pegs about two inches from your arse amazes me and probably says a lot about my riding skills and powers of conversation.

Played against him a few times when he used to turn out for Wheatley's on a Sunday...don't think he ever scored against us... moaned and bitched for England mind you

Thought it was a decent (if disturbing at times) read, though Matlock's is probably better. Too much stuff about all that 12-step caper in the final chapters. Anyway, don't download it - go into a bookshop and nick it. Jonesy would approve.

He has a show on KLOS Radio in California, you can get in on podcast. It's a good listen especially the one when he had Noel Gallagher on a couple of years ago

Probably the best thing about this is that you're trying to screw Steve Jones out of a few quid.
